There are now free guitar lesson ebooks available in the resources section. These ebooks cover quite a few things and would be great learning companions to the You Tube videos on the site. Using these kind of resources along with books and CDs is basically how I learned the guitar so I know it works. Enjoy.
Yeah, rock on, who doesn’t want to be a rockstar? But we all have to start somewhere right? When I started learning guitar 11 years ago, I had a crap guitar and no one to help me. All I had was a how-to book from 1977, a lot of interest in playing guitar, and lot of patience. Now that the Internet has arrived, we have so many more tools to make learning the guitar easier, and way more fun. These are just some of the reasons that I created Guitar Mash, the site that’s your link to free video guitar lessons from master players around the world.
If Guitar Mash was just another You Tube then you’d probably just move on, right? I know how you feel, that’s why I’ve built in a features to categorize lessons by difficulty and style, and a search function to find the kind of lessons you need. You won’t find that on You Tube. You’ll also find a new awesome guitar video showcased on the homepage each week called…um…Video of the Week.
Guitar Mash also has a growing marketplace that features great deals from eBay. You can use the custom marketplace search to drill down to exactly the kinds of products you are looking for. Personally I like to set the top price around $5 and search for some thing like ‘effects’ and wait to see if any deals roll in.
